HANSVILLE GREENWAY UPDATE
Fall is here and with it more cloudy days, some rain and cooler temperatures. The change of seasons is also a beautiful time to take a walk through the Greenway. The deciduous trees are shedding their leaves and mushrooms are rising up out of the moist soil. If you enjoy a nature meander, now is a great time to experience the seasonal changes within the trail system. The various Greenway trails are easy to walk so take your pick of several different trails depending on the length or duration of your trip. Trail maps are available at the trail entrances or at the Hansville Store.
During your walk keep an out for any downed trees and limbs, exposed roots, or any other problems on the trail that may need attention and let us know by sending a message to our Facebook page. A link is provided on our website: hansvillegreenway.org. On the website you can check out the trail map, photos of special places, and information on to become a volunteer.
The next Greenway Association meeting will be held Thursday, December 6th, 6:00 p.m. at the Greater Hansville Community Center. This is our annual meeting with the election of officers for the coming year. It is also our annual Christmas party so refreshments will be on hand. The meeting is open to anyone interested in the Hansville Greenway and there are no dues to pay to become a member and be involved. If you have never come to one of our meetings, this is the one to attend. We are always looking for more friends to join us as volunteers to keep the Greenway enjoyable for everyone who likes a pleasant walk through a beautiful nature and wild life preserve . Come and join us!
