As of April 16th
It’s raining again, but they say the weather will improve. Our stewards have been out on the trails and tell us that the recent winds have mostly left little branches all over, so if you are hiking, please kick the branches off of the trails.
The spring flowers are really showing up. You can find lots of bleeding heart, especially along the trail between posts 14 and 16. You can find lots of trillium west of post #15. They are also plentiful between the bridge and Post #17. Trillium Loop (the trail between posts #7-6-9-and 10) is also a good place to see them.
Can’t remember where the sign posts are located? Check out our map in the General Information menu item.

We need all the help we can get, so if you’ve ever wanted to volunteer your time for a really good cause, we’d love to have you. Any time you can contribute is really appreciated! And you’ll get bragging rights for working with us! We have recently picked up some new members but we can always use more.
We recently got a memo from Pope Resources explaining their harvest plans. It will be scanned in and posted on this site pretty soon.
The connector trail between Buck Lake Rd. and Cora Ave. will be closed to the public for a while. There is a parcel of land along this trail that has been purchased and the buyer will be constructing a driveway from Buck Lake Rd. to his property. When finished, he will share the driveway with Greenway hikers.
We have recently placed emergency locator markers on our signposts. These are GPS locators tied to the county emergency service. If you are in trouble or injured, when you call 911, give your location in relation to one of the red markers.
