As of April 17th
Even after our big push to clear all the blowdown last month, there are still occasional trees across the trail. If you find any, let us know. It’s a task that is never done, but we’re always trying to stay on top of it.
Be sure to visit “Trillium Loop” which is defined by posts 6, 7, and 1. You’ll be able to see our greatest concentration of Trillium on the Greenway. You can find them other places, of course, but the greatest number are here.
Can’t remember where the trail number posts are located? Check out our map in the General Information menu item. Remember, you can always load the Maprika app on your smart phone and import the Hansville Greenway map. With GPS enabled, you should be able to find your way with no problem.
Want to report stuff? Want to volunteer to help? Just e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org or you can contact Art at 360-638-0738 to make your report. You can also comment on our Facebook page.
We are short of able-bodied people to help with maintenance, so if you’ve ever wanted to volunteer your time for a really good cause, we’d love to have you. Any time you can contribute is really appreciated! And you’ll get bragging rights for working with us! There is no “required” amount of time for volunteers to work. We are just happy to get any help we can get.
We’re entering the “Kitsap Great Give.” The official date is April 23rd, but you can give earlier if you wish.
When you get to the site (follow this link: https://kitsapgreatgive.org/profile/s/kitsap-county-parks-foundation) just fill out the form on the right and at the bottom where it says “gift notes” write in Hansville Greenway.
TheFoundation will then earmark the money for us. It’s that simple. We need money to continue our mission. You want to help, so here’s an easy way to do it!
